NIOGA's Privacy Policy
NIOGA respects our players' right to privacy. We believe it is critical that we protect the information you do provide to us. This privacy policy outlines how and why we collect information from our players, and how we use that information.
NIOGA Does Collect Information
NIOGA collects personal information on a voluntary basis from those individuals who wish to create an account for our game, Sanctum. We collect a player's email address and birthdate. We do not require that information be provided by those who are visiting our site - only by those who wish to create an account. Those who do not have an account will not be able to access areas that require registration.
Those persons who purchase items in our online store will need to provide a valid credit card number and expiration date, as well as name, billing address, phone number, and email address.
NIOGA also uses cookies to keep track of players' login status for certain areas of our web site, including the online store and trading program. The use of cookies creates convenience so that a player does not have to log in each time (within a single session) to access any page requiring login. Many browsers automatically are set to accept cookies. You can disable cookies or set your browser to alert you when cookies are being sent. Note that some of our pages may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
Regarding Children Under 13 Years
NIOGA encourages parents to spend time online with their children. Common sense dictates that parents should instruct their children never to reveal personal information (names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses) without parental permission. As this approach applies in the real world, it also applies on the Internet.
Because we cannot assume that parental approval is forthcoming, we do not allow children younger than 13 to create accounts for Sanctum.
What NIOGA Does with Your Information
NIOGA collects some personal information from our players: we collect email addresses so that we can mail a new player his or her account password, and we collect birthdate information for security purposes.
DA does not spam its players with unsolicited email - we mail to players an average of 2 times each year, primarily to notify of game changes or forced download of new releases. We also use players' email information to send complimentary cards or prizes.
Birthdate information is used by the player to self-identify to obtain a key for Sanctum's trading function.
We also collect personal information from those who use our online store, for purposes of credit card authorization. We collect a valid credit card number and expiration date, as well as name, billing address, phone number, and email address. This information is used only for credit card authorization.
If a player purchases non-digital items in our card store, we collect mailing information. This information is used to mail the item to the purchaser.
NIOGA does not share or sell our players' personal information. We do not provide players' information to any third party.
However, to enforce legal rights and the law, we may at times need to disclose information to law enforcement.
Email addresses provided on this site, or in any mailing lists, are not to be used for SPAM. A charge of $500/email may be applied.
NIOGA maintains appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information you have provided.
By using this site, you signify your assent to the NIOGA Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use this site. We reserve the right to make changes in this policy.
